Can you actually make a Manhattan Transfer tonight?
Out of Amaro Ramazzotti? Bart suggests a substitute from the bottles you already own, then still pours the drink. On this page you only get the general answer.
About the Manhattan Transfer
The Manhattan Transfer, created in 2008 by Phil Ward at New York City's Death & Co, is a bold and aromatic cocktail that balances whiskey, dry vermouth, Ramazzotti amaro, and orange bitters.
A variation on the Dry Manhattan, the drink takes cues from the Old Pal and Boulevardier, but distinguishes itself with Ramazzotti’s licorice, citrus, and herbal notes. The use of a 100-proof rye whiskey provides a spicy backbone, while the orange bitters enhance its complexity. The result is a dry yet richly flavored cocktail with layered bitterness and deep aromatics.
