Can you actually make a Rosita tonight?
Out of Campari? Bart suggests a substitute from the bottles you already own, then still pours the drink. On this page you only get the general answer.
About the Rosita
The Rosita is a modern classic cocktail often described as a tequila Negroni, though its complexity makes it much more. First published in cocktail books in the 1970s, the Rosita was popularized by Gaz Regan’s work and is now beloved for its refined balance of tequila, Campari, and both sweet and dry vermouth.
The split of vermouth into sweet and dry variations creates a smoother and less cloying profile than other Negroni riffs, while a dash of Angostura bitters adds depth and backbone. The Rosita is an excellent choice for Negroni enthusiasts seeking something fresh or for tequila fans looking for a spirit-forward cocktail that stands apart from the usual Margarita variations.
